Vermicast for Ag & Hort
Ecocast’s Vermicast for Ag & Hort is made of pure earthworm castings which is processed by earthworms. Vermicast is the end-product of a natural up-cycling process where earthworms are creating a nutrient and humus rich organic fertiliser and soil conditioner. Created from waste products that is digested and transformed by our earthworms Vermicast can be used for application on Organic crops, orchards and pastures for the Agriculture and Horticulture industries.

Vermicast for Ag & Hort contains plant available nutrients. Even more important is the very high content in humus. One third of our Vermicast for Ag & Hort is actually humus, which is very similar to soil humus. Humus is the soil’s “battery” for plant nutrients and water. Our earthworms have loaded the humus with calcium, magnesium, sulfur, and potassium. We keep the nitrogen content moderate as some plants and ecosystems are very sensitive to nitrogen and phosphorus. For our organic customers we are following international organic rules (NOP, OMRI) and our Vermicast for Ag & Hort is an organic certified input for crops fertilisers and soil amendments.
